It has been a dream for a while…the soil page is finally finished!

Aside from buying a healthy plant, choosing the right potting mix is arguably the most critical decision you will make regarding your plant’s future. The mix we choose determines our plant’s relationship to water - another vital component to survival. What could be more important than that aside from maybe the water itself?! The potting mix and amendments, plus the pot we choose, will be home to our plant for months or even years in some cases. It’s important to make the right choices and customize as much as possible for each plant.

On the new soil page, we’re delving into what “soil” really means. What does “soilless mix” mean? What do our houseplants really need? We’ll center around mixing soil for Aroids, Hoya, Jungle Cacti, Begonias, and Orchids, but that’s not all.
