Ugh.

After a week of temperatures in the low 100′s I just can’t bring myself to even think about writing a real post. I haven’t even bothered to take pictures of my gardens (even though my veggie garden is growing crazy good) because it’s just too damn hot out. I spend 5 minutes outside and want to die…so putting 8 hours in every day at the botanic garden really zaps my energy. ::sigh:: I can’t wait for this heat to break! It’s only early July, this is August weather!!! It hasn’t rained in a month so all the grass is a lovely shade of dead and even large mature trees are wilting and brown around the edges. IT’S MAKING ME SO DEPRESSED!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, indeed. Heat is just one of the worst things ever (but even worse is when people who work in airconditioned offices whine about how hot it is!) I’d send you some of our rain clouds, but I think I like them a little too much to give them away!

It’s been wretched here in Philadelphia. This Saturday was over 100*F! I don’t blame you for not wanting to get caught out there. I’m wishing and hoping for rain, as well!
